Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift Hasn't Dated in HOW Long?!

Taylor Swift is almost as famous for her relationship history as for cranking out musical hits, but says it's quite a while since she had one of the former.
In an interview with The Sun (UK), Taylor says she hasn't dated a man in ...
Jake Gyllenhaal
Jake Gyllenhaal allegedly took Taylor Swift's v-card, then dumped her via text. TEXT.
... EIGHTEEN MONTHS! Yes, it's been a full year and a half!
"I get stressed when I think about getting into a relationship because I get beat up in the press whenever I go near a boy," said the perennial chart-topper.
"So you can understand why I'm taking a bit of a break."
Swift adds, "a relationship is not in my brain right now."
The list of boyfriends of Taylor Swift is the stuff of legend. Harry Styles, Joe Jonas, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner and Jake Gyllenhaal, to name a few.
Still, she says too much is made of her romantic life.
"It's been seen as a scandal when I date a boy yet dating people is a normal thing for a twenty-something to do ... it's treated as if I have some sort of problem."
Insisting that it would take "someone pretty damn special" to lure her away from the single life, the "Shake It Off" singer is loving life these days she says.
"Staying single has been the best thing I have done. I'm not wary of getting into another relationship. I'm just protective of my independence and freedom"
"More protective than I have been before."
"I always thought, 'What could be better than to love someone and be loved back?' I finally found what it is to love yourself and not need anyone to love you back."
Taylor, who has been known to write songs about exes, is busy promoting her new 13-track album 1989, her first studio effort since 2012's smash Red.
During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she performed album track Out of the Woods, which is widely believed to be about Harry Styles.
She hasn't named names, but ...
Bring It On
What do you have to say about cheerleaders NOW, Taylor?
"This song is about the fragility and breakable nature of some relationships ... a relationship where you never feel like you’re standing on solid ground."
"That kind of a feeling brings on excitement," the soon-to-be 25-year-old mused, "but also extreme anxiety and kind of a frantic feeling of wondering."

Sounds about right.
