NCIS Los Angeles

NCIS Los Angeles Season 6 Episode 2 Recap: Hetty's Past Will Haunt Her

Last night on NCIS Los Angeles Season 6 Episode 2, the team learned that one of its own is compromised in the investigation of a Navy contract's murder.
At the same time, Hetty's past continued to haunt her as she was placed under investigation in D.C., and the DOJ came out to L.A. to investigate the team.
Hetty's interrogation at a Congressional hearing definitely made for the some of the most intense moments ofNCIS: Los Angeles Season 6 Episode 2.
Her decision to send Kensi to Afghanistan may end up being one she regrets, or not, because it's Hetty. Either way, she's not easy to get info out of.
To prevent exposing the truth, she will use any means necessary. There's clearly a lot more to this than just the one decision over Kensi, however.
Hetty was asked about Branston Cole, whom she admitted to harboring in his time of need prior to his death. And then there was the L.A. wrinkle.
The team is on its own without her during this. Clandestinely, she called in Granger and tried to get this investigation stalled however she could.
It turns out Hetty's file and home address were sold, and she's being targeted by someone, perhaps the man in a car with her file and a weapon.
That haunting final scene will be picked up next week. If you watch NCIS: Los Angeles online this week, it's worth it just for the Hetty storyline.
The case of the week, meanwhile, was a decent, if unexceptional one. The robber, Fisher, picked the wrong property to hit, that's putting it mildly.
He couldn't let a body and a dog remain there, even if he paid the price for it. And cost the drought-plagued state a lot of water in hitting that hydrant.
Nell and Eric later learned that the dead Navy contractor uncovered the true identity of online criminal mastermind Papa Legba and Bell blackmailed him.
Instead of paying, Legaba used his website to put out a hit on the person trying to extort him. That's fighting fire with fire, you could certainly say.
As for everyone's favorite couple Kensi and Deeks, any awkwardness that stemmed from her return from Afghanistan seems to have lessened.

For the moment at least.
