Teresa Giudice is going to jail for 15 months.
Joe Giudice is going to jail for 41 months.
First, however, the law-breaking couple is heading to Bravo, as the network confirms these Real Housewives of New Jersey stars will sit for an exclusive interview with Andy Cohen on Monday night.
The Giudices pleaded guilty in March to a number of financial fraud allegations. They were sentenced yesterday inside a New Jersey courtroo, with Judge Esther Salas telling Teresa at the time:
"I think a period of confinement is absolutely necessary in this case. I don't honestly believe that you understand or respect the law. I need to send a message. In the eyes of the law, it doesn't matter who you are. There are consequences to pay."
Joe, meanwhile, was also ordered to pay restitution $414,588.
Following their sentencing, Cohen tweeted: “Regardless of what your opinion is, have respect for @Teresa_Giudice and her family."
Like they had respect for the law, Andy? Or respect for their four children while breaking the law and risking a prison term?
In an accommodation to the couple as parents, the judge has allowed Teresa to serve her term prior her husband’s; that way, he can be around to help raise his daughters: Audriana, 5, Milania, 8, Gabriella, 9, and Gia, 13.
In July 2013, Teresa and Joe were charged in a 39-count indictment that included conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud.
