Wayne Static Dies; Static-X Rocker Was 48

Wayne Static of the rock band Static-X has died, according to reports.
A statement on his Facebook page confirmed his passing at age 48.

No details on the cause of Static's death have been made available.
Static, whose real name was Wayne Richard Wells, was best known as the frontman and lead guitarist of the band Static-X throughout a long musical career.
That band released six albums between 1999-2009.
The band's 1999 effort, Wisconsin Death Trip, was certified platinum for over 1 million units shipped, the Recording Industry Association of America shows.
He also released a solo album, Pighammer, in 2013.
Wayne Static was scheduled to release another later this year, according to his website, and was going on tour, with a date set in Atlanta on November.
