Heidi Montag has reached out to Amanda Bynes after the troubled actress fell asleep on a couch at the mall, offering her a place to stay if she wants it.
Astonishingly, and sadly, the events of the past week, which saw her released from a psychiatric facility, have essentially left Amanda Bynes homeless.
The 28-year-old actress somehow convinced a Pasadena, Calif., hospital to release her from a 5150 hold, then tried to torpedo her parents' conservatorship.
Bynes failed, but her parents threw in the towel when it comes to trying to control Amanda, saying they will hand her estate over to someone else.
They still control her considerable money, and have given her $50-100 a day in AmEx gift cards, but beyond that, she is roaming around L.A. by her lonesome.
She doesn't trust them - her rants against her mom and dad are legendary - so she won't go to their house, and can't afford a place of her own either.
Things took a bizarre turn Wednesday night when she crashed on the couch inside the mall at Beverly Center, which she later took to Twitter to explain:
"I was not given money for a hotel so I have been staying with friends and I didn't get enough sleep last night so I fell asleep on a couch at the beverly center."
"Paparazzi snuck in and took pictures of me FYI! I hate my parents for still not giving me money for a hotel. What is wrong with them?" Bynes went on.
"I need to get an apartment and my parents won't give me access to any of my funds. I'm not living with my parents. I'm not legally obligated to."
"My lawyer said if I comply with the courts and take my meds and see my psychologist and pyshchiatrist weekly then I will get unconserved. Thank GOD."
"My lawyer is working to have them fully removed from being my conservator because they don't deserve control over my money. They are miserable in their life."
"I will fight to get control of my finances taken away from them!"
This is clearly a very sad and desperate situation. Heidi Montag, of all people, took notice and has offered Amanda a place to stay with her and Spencer Pratt.
Montag Tweeted, "@amandabynes you are more then welcome to crash in our guest house in Santa Barbara if you need somewhere to stay! DM me!"
Bynes, who "was diagnosed bipolar and manic depressive so I'm on medication and I'm seeing my psychologist and pyshchiatrist weekly so I'm fine,' is clearly not.
Maybe she should take Heidi up on that offer, ASAP.
