Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 4 Recap: A Brothel of Blood

Venus Van... DAMN!
That was quite the ending to Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 4, wasn't it?
Following a couple weeks plotting and scheming against those he (wrongly) believes murdered Tara, Jax Teller saw his chickens come home to root at the conclusion of this intense hour.
And by "chicken," we mean employees at Diosa. And by "roost," we mean countless corpses were left covered in blood and brain matter as a result of an attack by Lin's people.
It was heartbreaking to watch, partly because we've grown attached to women there such as Collette; partly because (ironically) this was meant to be SAMCRO's clean business; and largely due to the reaction of Nero.
He stayed out of the gang banging game for years, only to be drawn back in toward the end of last season. Even then, however, he saw his role as peace maker, as the broker between warring factions.
And even though he's served that role well - as acknowledged by that phone call from Lin's employee this week - the business he worked so hard to cultivate and the women he saw as surrogate daughters have now paid the price in the worst way imaginable.
Jimmy Smits has been a truly outstanding addition to the series since Day One, but never more so than here. You could see the pain on Nero's face without hearing a sound from him during that closing scene. His entire world just got blown apart.
How will it affect his relationship with Jax? With Gemma? Heck, with himself? Will it knock Nero off the wagon?
Jax, meanwhile, has been playing fast, loose and dirty for too long. Who knows who tipped off Lin's crew to his plans (Tyler, perhaps?), but we're glad they did. Until now, Sons of Anarchy Season 7 has felt like a series of SAMCRO maneuvers, one after another after another.
It was confusing to remember who was doing what for whom and, even more troubling, it wasn't entertaining. It was akin to watching one long chess match. The stakes didn't even feel very high - but all that changes now.
The war is truly on between SAMCRO and Lin. How many more bodies will be dropped before Jax discovers the truth? Before he comes to the damning realization that his mother killed his wife? We all know this season is leading to that confrontation.
ELSEWHERE:
  • You've gotta love Walton Goggins as Venus Van Dam. Aside from bringing some levity to things, Kurt Sutter has actually made Venus into a sympathetic, layered character. His bond with Tig may cause Jax to be "worried," but it's managed to bring out real emotion in both men. Impressive stuff
  • What is Sheriff Janney's game here? She can't actually have feelings for Chibs, right? No offense, Chibs. You are very lovable. But it's safer to assume in this case that you're being played.
  • Juice is armed for his road trip with Gemma. Gemma is armed for her road trip with Juice. This is not going to end well.

What did everyone else think? Go watch Sons of Anarchy online via TV Fanatic and react to that shocking conclusion now!

19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 8 Recap: Duggars Get Glam For Jill's Wedding!

19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 8 saw the Duggar girls go glam, in preparation for Jill's big wedding, which on the show is just six weeks away.
What did this endeavor entail for members of the enormous Arkansas family?
For Jill Duggar, it meant selecting five bridesmaids and one very special Maid of Honor. No, it wasn't Jessa Duggar ... but their older sister, Jana Duggar!
Their first stop was a hair salon, to try out some different hairstyles and makeup in preparation for the big day. Did we mention it's just six weeks out?!
Jill is far from a bridezilla, of course, in keeping with her humble and modest roots, and Derick Dillard reveals he likes her her best natural and curly.
Yup, their heads are in the right places, 1,000-person wedding and all.
That's not to say the Duggars don't look amazing with their hair and makeup done on 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 8. They really do.
But it's great to see something like this doesn't change who they are.
They're not too different from any other bridal party, either, as Jessa Duggar chimes in that she would love something that she can wear again one day.
Dates Without Chaperones
The Duggar parents often accompany their children on dates in order to maintain their "accountability" and "keep things from going in the wrong direction," per Jim Bob. The girls are fine with this, as being alone with men puts them in grave "moral danger." When the parents aren't available, their older siblings will often tag along, making every date a group date and a family affair.
Said about every bridesmaid dress in the history of ever. Rarely true.
Per Duggar family rules, of course, we're going to need "neck to the knees" coverage, even if that means bringing in shawls to help with that task.
Among the things banned by the Duggars? Showing a lot of skin.
When Jessa finds the perfect one, Jana is sure her seamstress skills can make it fit their needs. Best of all, they spent only $30 per item there (!?) ...
Down in Washington, D.C., meanwhile, the married Josh and Anna Duggar are still focusing on developing a more healthy lifestyle for their family.
Josh’s trainer made an appearance in the District and Anna's friend Heather served as cooking instructor in a classic B-story reality show plot.
The kids may not love all the new veggies on their plates, but you'll see healthier ones the next time that youwatch 19 Kids and Counting online.
Back in Arkansas, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have decided to gift Jill and Derick with the Stoney Brook House, a property the couple owns.
Scripted or not, 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 9, which immediately followed Episode 8, focused a lot on this task for the fam to check off.
They bought the house to renovate and resell it, but decided they would let Jill and Derick live there until it's finished and can sell to a new owner.
In typical fashion, Jim Bob has his young sons learn the "trade" of putting carpet down while helping out the contractor, a good lesson even if it's a disaster.
Hey, you gotta learn somehow and start from somewhere.
In D.C., Josh, Anna and their kids plan a handmade baby gift for the newlyweds: A Nepal-themed mobile, in honor of where Jill and Derick met in person.
Anna starts dreaming of baby #4. Uh oh ...

Robert Pattinson: Moving to London for FKA Twigs?

Things seem to be getting serious between Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs.
Rumors that Pattz and Twiggy are dating have been circulating for a while now, and just last week we got our first glimpse of Rob and FKA holding hands in public. (Squeee!)
  • RPatt
  • FKA Twigs Picture
They're moving so quickly they've even hit a rough patch already, with psychotic Rob fans attacking FKA onlinewith truly disgusting racist epithets.
Naturally, a large percentage of the world's Robsessed Twihards can be found in America, which may be one of the reasons that Pattinson is reportedly planning to ditch LA and return to the UK.
The other reason, of course, would bet to spend more time with the London-based FKA.
"I think I might be done with Los Angeles," Rob said in a recent interview with The Independent. "I've just realized it in the past few weeks. I think I need to spend more time in London, or just move around a bit more."
Okay, so Rob doesn't mention FKA by name, but come on! He just realized in the past few weeks that he'd like to start spending more time in London.
Hmm...what else happened in the past few weeks? Oh right, he started seriously dating a woman who lives in London!
Rob's made no bones about the fact that he wants to settle down and start a family. That's why we never totally bought the rumors that he was dating Katy Perry and a slew of other young starlets in the wake of his breakup with Kristen Stewart.
Rob's a one-woman man, and based on the suddenness of his decision to move to London, we're guessing that woman in FKA.

Robert Pattinson is not bad looking, is he? Drool away, ladies!

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin: Officially, 100% Legally Married!

Okay, now it's truly official:
George Clooney off the market.
Yes, we previously reported that the Oscar-winning actor married Amal Alamuddin on Saturday night in Venice - but Clooney and his 36-year old British bride exchanged vows for the second time today at Venice's Palazzo Ca' Loredan, a council building where a civil ceremony was conducted in accordance with the country's laws.
Insider confirm this step was taken inside the gorgeous Sala Degli Affreschi, a beautiful decorated room that includes two stunning chandeliers.
The Clooney and Alamuddin ceremony and reception on Saturday spared no expense either, of course.
The former lasted for about 20 minutes, with bride and groom reciting their own vows in the presence of such famous guests as Cindy Crawford, Bill Murray and Matt Damon.
The reception featured candelabras on every table, along with an endless array of candles and white roses all around. We hear there were as many as 20 modern art paintings hand-picked by Alamuddin on the walls and that and the tables were set with 24-karat gold-rimmed bone china.
Would you really expect anything less from Clooney?!?
Alamuddin’s father, meanwhile, got us all excited about the next step in the lives of this couple, toasting his daughter and his new son-in-law at the event and noting that it’s now time for “grandchildren."
We get George and Amal at least got in some practice that night, if you know what we mean!

Big Sean: Ariana Grande is Very, VERY Special!

Big Sean may not confirm he's dating Ariana Grande, but the dude knows how good he has it and is never hesitant to heap praise upon the talented singer.
During an interview with On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Friday, the rapper mentioned that he likes to keep his personal life private ... but man, she rules!
Ariana and Big Sean
"I'm like a big fan, I know where I'm at," the 26-year-old said. "But I am going to tell you this: That Ariana is very, very special. She's very special to me."
"Everything she has going on is good with her, everything I have going on is good with me, and everything between me and her is good," he went on.
"And I'm just going to leave it at that."
Big Sean, who has been wearing a red Kabbalah bracelet just like his rumored girlfriend, is rumored to bejealous of her video with Chris Brown.
He's also rumored to be getting very serious with her since their respective breakups, and by all accounts they are not only an item but a contented one.
Speaking of which, Sean was also grilled about his new song "I Don't F--k With You," in which he absolutelyshreds Naya Rivera ... or does he?
The rapper explained to Seacrest he actually wrote the song when he and his then-fiancee were still an item, but can't escape how it sounds now.
"I was just honestly putting myself in a perspective, man," he said.
"As an artist, you just have to do that sometimes. It's funny how records, sometimes they relate to you more later on, sometimes they don't."
"Obviously it kind of fits my situation."
Big Sean and Rivera ended their engagement in April. Just three months later, she married Ryan Dorsey on the day she was supposed to marry the rapper.
As he raps in "I Don't F--k With You" ... he dodged a bullet.

Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy: Married?!

Despite a 17-year age difference and the fact that they'd only been dating for less than two years, Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy got engaged earlier this year.
Now it seems the unlikely couple is continuing to move quickly as they reportedly got married in a small, secret ceremony some time over the summer.
Olivier Sarkozy, Mary-Kate Olsen
Mary-Kate and Olivier were spotted having lunch in the Hamptons recently, and witnesses say they were both rocking wedding bands.
The change in MK's bling would've been particularly easy to spot, as she had previously been wearing an $81,000 antique engagement ring that featured a giant rock.
Mary-Kate has reportedly now switched the ring out for an understated band, and various media outlets are reporting that she and Sarkozy have indeed made it official.
Sarkozy - the half-brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy -  is the latest in a long line of high-profile, very well off men with whom Mary-Kate has been romantically involved.
She broke up with Nate Lowman -  a celebrated NYC artist - just months before getting involved with Sarkozy.
Of course, just because her other half has settled down, don't expect Ashley Olsen to walk down the aisle any time soon. Last we saw her, Ashley was having one night stands with Johnny Depp and very much enjoying the single life.
Anyway, congrats to Mary-Kate and Olivier! May you enjoy a life of love, happiness, and obscene wealth!

Donkey Lives Inside Missouri Home, Thinks He's Regular Member of the Family

Say hello to Joplin.
This donkey was sick as a baby and, therefore, was raised indoors by Missouri natives Dawn and Chris Wegener.
Joplin grew very accustomed to the arrangement and has lived as a regular member of the family ever since, watching television at times, helping with chores and other times and, based on the adorable photos below, often irritating the dog as well.
Joplin can open doors all by himself; enjoys eating apples as a snack in the kitchen; and has learned enough by now to ignore Dr. Phil.
Don't believe us? Check out these pictures for proof!

What's the big deal? Nothing to see here! It's just a donkey living inside and watching some television.
Pretty amazing, huh?
